This was our inaugural meeting so it stands to reason it may not be typical of the meetings that follow.

We had a total of 16 members in the meeting.

Not knowing who or how many people would show up, I over-prepared with content to share. I'm glad we recorded it, I think it'll be valuable in the future, but this definitely made the session go longer than intended. Some of the participants didn't mind the length, but some preferred a shorter session for sure (including me).

So one takeaway is that our target length should probably be on the order of 60-90 minutes. Anything longer makes it difficult for people to manage the time.

Another key takeaway is that there's a desire to have the meetings be primarily about interaction. Having some content to "seed" a discussion is good, but the preference would be to share that content in advance of the meeting, both to give participants some time to think about it and prepare to discuss it, and to avoid taking up time with more passive one-way communication.

These are good suggestions!
